Thick outlines define each nine-square region. A selected square’s accessible label includes its region number. Shading is a guide; follow the outlines.

Rules
Follow the region, not a 3×3 box.
Every row, every column, and every thickly outlined region contains 1–9 once. Each region has nine connected squares. Ordinary 3×3 boxes are not units in this variant: a digit can repeat in a visual 3×3 area if its row, column, and irregular regions allow it.
Worked approach
Trace a region before eliminating.
Choose a region with several filled squares and list its missing digits. For each missing digit, cross out squares blocked by the same digit in a row or column. If only one square remains inside the outline, that digit is forced. Use Notes to record your shortlist; Hint points to a logical single.
Practice
Fresh shapes, with printable answers.
New puzzle generates a new region layout and fresh clues, then checks that the puzzle has exactly one solution. Restart keeps the current layout and clues. Print puzzle makes a clean worksheet; include the answer key for a separate solution page, or save both pages as a PDF from your browser.
Jigsaw Sudoku: questions before you play
Are Jigsaw Sudoku and Irregular Sudoku the same?
Yes. Both commonly describe Sudoku with nine connected irregular regions instead of nine rectangular 3×3 boxes. Rows and columns still contain each digit from 1 to 9 once.
How do the regions work?
Each thickly outlined shape contains nine squares and needs all digits 1–9 exactly once. Trace the entire boundary; a region may extend into another part of the grid. Color is optional context, not the rule.
Can I play Jigsaw Sudoku free without downloading an app?
Yes. The board works in your browser with number and keyboard input, notes, undo, logical hints, progress checking, and local saved progress. No account or app download is required.
Can I print an irregular Sudoku puzzle?
Yes. Print puzzle prints the current puzzle’s original clues and outlined regions. Include answer key adds its solution on a separate page. Your browser also offers Save as PDF.
Does every new puzzle have one solution?
Yes. New puzzle generates fresh clues in your browser and checks that there is exactly one solution before the board opens. Restart repeats your current puzzle, and saved progress resumes it.
