A puzzle for your kind of break

Multiplayer puzzle games: cooperate, race, or play later.

Sudoku can be a shared conversation or a fair contest. Together gives two players one synchronized board. Race gives each player the same clues on a separate board. An async challenge lets a friend take their turn later.

Set up the session before solving.

Choose the format first so your friend knows whether you are collaborating or competing. Use a private friend route when you want a specific partner; open matchmaking depends on another player being available.

  1. Open Together or Race with a friend.
  2. Choose the difficulty and create the private invitation.
  3. Share the generated link or code with your partner.
  4. Join the same session and follow the game’s ready/start flow.

Make cooperation useful.

In Together, talk through why a candidate is impossible before placing a digit. A partner may notice a row or box that you have stopped seeing. In Race, keep solving separately so identical clues remain a fair comparison.

  1. Pick an easier difficulty for your first shared session.
  2. Use your own voice or text chat if you want to discuss moves.
  3. If your schedules do not overlap, choose an async challenge instead of waiting in a live room.

Know which puzzle you are sharing.

A private multiplayer room is separate from the ranked Daily Challenge. If the goal is to compare today’s dated result, each person should open Daily Sudoku. If the goal is one shared live board, use Together.

Questions before you play.

Can two people solve the same puzzle together?

Yes. Together mode synchronizes one Sudoku board for cooperative play.

Do both players get identical clues in Race?

Yes. Both players solve the same clues on separate boards so they can compare progress and completion time.

Can my friend play later?

Choose an async challenge for different schedules. Live Together and Race require both players to be connected for the shared session.
